• What is NEPC?
  • The National Electronic Product Catalogue (NEPC) is an electronic register of popular products available in Singapore market place. It is a repository of product data and digitised images of products made in Singapore and overseas and serves as an infrastructure where trading partners can obtain, maintain or exchange information about products, services or parties/locations in a standard format using electronic means.

    It is accessible via the internet and ensures the integrity of data needed for electronic commerce transaction by providing standardised record of product data.

  • Why was NEPC created?
  • The National Electronic Product Catalogue was created to help trading partners to use precisely the same data in their internal applications in order to increase the efficiency of the entire supply chain, by improving the quality of the data exchanged.

    This concept is known as Master Data Alignment and involves the maintenance of accurate and synchronised databases for products, prices, promotions and locations.

  • What are the benefits?
  • When a trading relationship is supported by the Electronic Product Catalogue, some of the potential benefits which can be expected are:

    • Enforces standard identification of the trade item though the entire supply chain


    • Facilitates and improves master data alignment between trading partners


    • Facilitates product search and new product introduction


    • Optimises exploitation of space management (in the store and warehouse)


    • Improves Direct Product Profitability (DPP) calculations

  • What are the charges?
  • The charges for listing of new product image in NEPC are as follows:

  • Product Image : S$65.00 per product + 7% GST
  • Replacement of Product Images : S$65.00 per product + 7% GST

  • What is the criteria for joining NEPC?
  • Any company who wishes to participate in NEPC must register as a member of GS1 Singapore Council. Click here to register.
